Happy Black Friday

Loved heading over to the mall today get some holiday deals & take advantage of no tax in New Jersey. While flipping through the Nordstrom's catalog I was surprised to see it wasn't Ruben Toledo but Lisa Evans whose whimsical illustrations grace the pages. Lisa Evans official portfolio page as well.

Children's Book Show at the Society

I finally got a chance to visit the 2009 Original Art: The Fine Art of Children's Book Illustration Show over at the Society of Illustrators. Beyond inspiring! I am currently obsessing over Spoon & Princess Hyacinth (The Surprising Tale of a Girl Who Floated). I thought they set up the work so nicely this year and the book rack was a great addition as well. The entries just keep getting better and better. You have until tomorrow to view!

Times are tough: Charmin is hiring. Enjoy the go.

Took this photo in Times Square yesterday. Inquire here.

Window Wednesdays: The holidays are upon us

This resignates with a NYC shopper (the play off of NYC's I heart you logo). Great thinking TJMAXX! Shout out to my cousin, TJ! I love you.

Loving the holiday messaging coming from Starbucks. Red cups, red windows, red flare.

Shimmery holiday typography & traditional holiday scenes from Miracle of 34th Street.

LINKS I am loving this week.
Sneak Peek, Barneys New York Windows over at Ideeli Blog. (Hopefully I'll get to Barneys soon!) It's that time of year when everyone goes Ga-Ga over windows. Good thing you and I lust for them year-round.

Also check out Nordstrom, Inc.'s Photos - Iris Apfel Styles Our Windows & video. Watch this video. Towards the end of the clip, you see Iris styling the windows. What a process, what a woman!
